Dihydrocinchonidine (CAS-No. 485-64-3)

Dihydrocinchonidine Base (CAS-No. 485-64-3) is a cinchona alkaloid closely related to Cinchonidine. Compared to Cinchonidine the double bond is hydrogenated, the stereochemistry is the same. Cinchona alkaloids such as Dihydrocinchonidine are recognized as a privileged class of compounds. They are widely used as chiral organocatalysts/ligands/phase transfer catalysts in asymmetric synthesis and in racemic resolution processes.
