Tamura Cyclization

In the presence of a Cinchona squaramide-based catalyst, enolizable anhydrides react with alkylidene oxindoles to generate spirooxindole products with excellent enantio- and diastereocontrol.

Tamura cyclization examples catalyzed by cinchona alkaloid derivatives can be found in our free of charge Chiral Catalyst Search.
