Dihydrocupreidine Base (CAS-No. 73522-75-5) is a cinchona alkaloid closely related to Cupreidine. Compared to Cupreidine the double bond is hydrogenated, the stereochemistry is the same.

Physical Properties

Dihydrocupreidine Base (CAS-No.: 73522-75-5) is a white or almost white, crystalline powder or it consists of fine, colourless needles. The melting point is in the range of 163 -184 °C. This compound is not hygroscopic and contains less than 5.0 % water. Dihydrocupreidine could be stored at ambient conditions in well-closed, light-resistant containers.
