Isomerization

Isomerization is a chemical process by which a compound is transformed into any of its isomeric forms, i.e., forms with the same chemical composition but with different structure or configuration and, hence, generally with different physical and chemical properties.

Isomerization examples catalyzed by cinchona alkaloid derivatives can be found in our free of charge Chiral Catalyst Search Data Base.

Example from Literature

Cinchonium betaines as efficient catalysts for asymmetric proton transfer catalysis: The development of a practical enantioselective isomerization of trifluoromethyl imines. (Zhou et al.; J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2016, 138(37), 12297-12302.)
