Dihydrocinchonine Base – Fine Chemical

CAS-No. 485-65-4

Dihydrocinchonine Base (CAS-No. 485-65-4) is a cinchona alkaloid closely related to Cinchonine. Compared to Cinchonine the double bond is hydrogenated, the stereochemistry is the same.

Physical Properties

Dihydrocinchonine Base (CAS-No. 485-65-4) is a white or almost white, crystalline powder or it consists of fine, colourless needles. The melting point is in the range of 266 – 270 °C. This compound is not hygroscopic and contains less than 1.0 % water. Dihydrocinchonine could be stored at ambient conditions in well-closed, light-resistant containers.
